David Foster Wallace’s sister Amy

This article about DFW’s sister Amy absolutely broke me.

You should read it yourself but here's one of the memorable things I picked up: Their mom, Sally, was an English professor who wrote a textbook called Practically Painless English with the pedagogical aim of teaching people how to use English with personality. Below is an exercise from the section about verbs:
